Biomedical Engineering organizes a workshop on the occasion of the National Tree Planting Day

In conjunction with the National Afforestation Day, the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Technology organized a workshop on the role of agriculture in achieving sustainable development, in which Prof. Dr. Mu’ayyad Nasir Muslim from the Environmental Research Center and Eng. Dalia Muhammad Ali lectured. The lecturers discussed current trends related to solving the problems of desertification and the decline of green cover around the world, the concept of sustainable development historically, the concept of sustainable agriculture, and the main role of agriculture in that it is the basis of the ecosystem, because it improves soil quality and contributes to combating desertification and other negative effects resulting from climate change.
